Oh October, how I looooove thee! This one was particularly good to me as far as reading goes. My list of reads for the month is kinda ginormous. Keep in mind that Dewey’s Read-a-Thon happened. That always ups the numbers dramatically for this gal.
I’ve only reviewed a few of these. Most of those were mini-reviews. Apparently I don’t review books anymore? That’s a subject for a different post!
I didn’t do it on purpose but half of the books I read in October were nonfiction. That makes me happy in the nerdiest way.
- The Invisible Wall by Harry Bernstein*
- Writers Between the Covers by Jodi Rendon & Shannon McKenna Schmidt*
- Hippie Boy by Ingrid Ricks*
- The Courtiers by Lucy Worsley*

And so ends one of my favorite months. Now, onto November!
How was October for you?

Holy Schnikes! Just reading this long list feels like a non-fiction book to me. Bravo!! p.s. I read spooky books this month for Halloween

I haven't read much in October except for school reads, unfortunately 😦 I'll try to read more during November!

If you need a review break, take it! 🙂 I actually have calendar-scheduled out, with the specific dates that I post book reviews, so that helps me keep up with making sure I post reviews!

Wowsers! Each month you seem to read more and more!! I read a ton of pages in October but only 4 complete books – they were just huge ones!

Great list for October! I've been reading and listening to so many more books than I review, it's getting on my nerves! But I just keep on starting the next book anyway…

Gosh, nowhere near as productive as yours. Did you like Ella Minnow Pea? I read it for a book club years ago and thought it was marvelous- so creative.

As ever I am in awe of your reading habits! October was weird for me, I couldn't focus on one book so kept starting new ones which meant I barely finished any. I think I need to start focusing my reading…I have high hopes for November though 😀

October was okay, but not great. Normally I read a massive amount during November and December so I'm hoping that same magical thing will happen this year, as well. Not starting out well, though, because I have to go out of town for work. Boo.

That is quite the list! Great month!

Looks like a great October. I am also in a kind of book reviewing slump. Need to get back at it. I read too many books on my holidays and never caught up with the reviewing. Sometimes i think I should just let it slide and get reviewing with the next book i read.

Ya did great! Wow! I haven't actually tabulated everything I read. I've been working really hard and a lot of extra hours, so I ended up reading fewer new books and devouring a bunch of 'old friends' for comfort. Lots of Jayne Anne Krentz, a few Dick Francis books, some Laurie King…I forget what all, but it's all on Goodreads. 🙂

I don't think there's anything wrong with letting it slide. There's no way I could review everything I read. I'll do some mini-reviews and only fully review the things I'm obligated to 😉

October is always a busy month for me. Our first quarter ends, and we have a lot of deadlines. And there is no way I will ever read more than twenty books in any month… not unless I give up sleep entirely! I did finish some very long books, and bought more books to add to my tbr pile!
