Bookish/Bloggish Business:
I’ve been a busy bee this week. I haven’t had as much reading time as usual. It’s okay though, I’m busy with good stuff! Haircut, pedicure, Big Brother 15, and a visit with my mom and sister.
Damn you Big Brother. I swore I was done with you when you started casting 20 year old hard bodies exclusively. Bah. I blame my youngest daughter. “Just watch the first episode with me Mom!” Uh huh.
You’ve probably heard about the extremely racist comments that some of the house-guests on BB15 have been making. It’s incredibly upsetting. That’s all I can say about it for now because it makes my stomach hurt and my hands shake.
I woke up to hear about the Zimmerman verdict and about the death of Cory Monteith. I have no words.
I think the \”look at my books\” pictures are a lot of fun. Since you are so excited by Five Days At Memorial, I will be checking that one out! I hope you had a great time visiting with your mom and sister. We celebrated my baby sister's 17th birthday yesterday and it was so nice to be with the whole family. 🙂

Reality shows, they're like marmite! I do easily get sucked in to them though. I'm interested to know your thoughts on Tampa when you get round to reading that one, it certainly seems interesting. Enjoy your reads for this week!My Book Bubble

I have The Silent Wife in my pile too! I don't watch Big Brother, my sister is forever trying to convince me to watch it, but I just don't have that much time to devote to one show! All my other shows would suffer! She made me watch one episode when I was at her house and had no choice. I still don't understand it 😉

I might have to start posting those sorts of pics then! 😀 I did! Hooray for family time 🙂 Happy bday to your baby sis!

I'm excited to read Tampa, if only to see what the controversy is all about. It has some naughty buzz going, that's for sure.

I don't have a blog, but I've considered doing the Estella Project challenge. Enjoy your books this week. I finished What the Spell? by Brittany Geragotelis (4/5 stars) last week. This week I'm reading Solaris by Stanislaw Lem, Fields of Elysium by A.B. Whelan, and OCD Love Story by Corey Ann Haydu.

Zimmerman. . . ugh, that disgusts me. Absolutely disgusting. I can't even book talk, I'm so disgusted by it.

I'm glad most of your busy week was fun. And what lovely new books you got! As for the news of the week… I'm disappointed by the Zimmerman outcome, but not surprised — and that itself saddens me.

Thanks Lark 😀 It was a good week.I know just what you mean by that. I \”knew\” what the outcome would be. How sad is that? 😦

It looks like a great stack of books! I haven't had nearly as much time for reading this summer either. Not only am I trying to take advantage of the sunshine with my kiddos, but my work has intensified in recent weeks.

Thanks 🙂 I was able to plow through a couple of them. The heat gave me a lot of time to read because I cannot TOLERATE BEING OUTSIDE in that garbage 😉
