It’s Monday! What are You Reading? 11/12/12

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, check it out and join in the fun! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

Happppppy Monday everyone! Did you have a good week? A great week? I did!

Incredible victory speech…watch it.
I’m still plugging away at the 30 Day Book Challenge. I’ve been a bit of a cheater cheater pumpkin eater though. First I was distracted by the election and then I found that some of the questions were just too hard/lame to answer.
Days #12, 13 & 15: (Fave Childhood Book, Book that should be Required Reading, Fave Foreign Culture Book)
Day #16: Favorite Book Turned Movie
Days #17, 18 & 19: Skipping these!
Stuff on the Blog:
Another week of Let’s Talk, the new meme that I’m participating in. It would be great to have more people join in. (That’s totally a hint.)
The Blogger Buddy System and The Book Riot 50. I’d love to hear how many books from that list you’ve read!
I’ve joined the Secret Santa Exchange at The Broke and the Bookish. Sounds like fun, no?

Onto the actual books I’ve been reading…

I posted some very quick thoughts on 5 of my most recent reads here. (The Ruins of Lace, The Middlesteins, This is How You Lose Her, The Art Forger & Illuminations)

I just finished the very lovely The End of Your Life Book Club by Will Schwalbe for the Book Club at Devourer of Books.

Upcoming Reads:

I’m still holding off from requesting library books. You guys don’t know how difficult that is! You don’t even know! Two books that I requested ages ago have come in though: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and Mrs. Robinson’s Disgrace by Kate Summerscale. I’m very much looking forward to reading both of those.

I still have some books around the house that I need to get to soon. Some I’ve won, some are for review. They include: The Love Song for Jonny Valentine by Teddy WayneFresh Off the Boat by Eddie Huang and With or Without You by Domenica Ruta. Great stuff coming up! Yay me!

How was your week of reading? Did you read something amazing?
