The Relentless Weekly Wrap-Up 02/15/2015

Blogging:
I was tagged to participate in a bookish questionnaire called the To Be Read Tag. I hope you’ll check it out and answer the questions on your blog as well.
Watching:
I’m beyond thrilled that The Walking Dead is back from the mid-season hiatus. Also, Better Call Saul is here! Oh my gosh, what a fun ride that show is going to be! I expected awesomeness and haven’t been disappointed. I caught up on Parks & Recreation too. That show is ridiculously funny and puts a big stupid smile on my face.
Linking up with Weekend Cooking at Beth Fish Reads
Cooking:
I made this Sausage, Potato, & Kale Soup which is basically a knockoff of Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana. My husband declared it to be the best soup I’ve ever made. It’s another Pioneer Woman recipe. Those rarely let me down. Mmm, soup!
We also had this incredibly easy Chicken Alfredo Baked Ziti. Confession: It was incredibly easy because I cheated and bought the sauce. I normally stay away from pre-made sauces but I had a moment of weakness. I’ll make this recipe again, and I’ll make my own sauce. I promise!

Sniffling:
Yep. I finally came down with a version of what my hubby had last week. Then Avery woke up with a fever on Tuesday morning. We’ve used enough tissues to blanket the world. Blech.

Achoo!

Squeeing:
I joined Influenster and my very first #RefreshVoxBox came. Hooray! Who doesn’t love a box of goodies to explore? I’m still figuring it all out but I think I can get you a link to join (which gives us both points, whatever that means!) Contact me if you’re interested.

Free goodies, wheeee!

Reading:
I recently finished The Thing About Great White Sharks. It was my first short story collection of 2015. I’m on a tour for that book coming up soon and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! Right now I’m in the middle of Delicious Foods by James Hannaham. It’s one of those harsh and difficult reads that I love sinking my teeth into.

I hope you’ve all had a fabulous week. I’d love to hear about what’s happening in your neck of the woods!

The To-Be-Read Tag

Lori, from Palmer’s Page Turners, tagged me to participate in this fun To Be Read Questionnaire.

1. How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

What is this “keep track” you speak of?

2. Is your TBR mostly print or eBook?

It’s mostly print, though I do have a healthy amount of books languishing on my e-reader.

3. How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

By mood! Here’s to free-range reading, the best thing ever! There are times when I’m part of a tour or have agreed to review a book by a certain date, but those times are few and far between nowadays.

4. A book that’s been on your TBR list the longest?
Ron Chernow’s bio Washington has been on my shelf for the longest time. I feel guilty just thinking of it.
5. A book you recently added to your TBR?

One of the latest to join the pile is Better Than Before by Gretchen Rubin.

6. A book on your TBR strictly because of it’s beautiful cover.

I enjoy a gorgeous cover, of course. But I can honestly say that there isn’t one on my shelf for its cover art alone.

7. A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading.
I can’t answer this. My books are listening!

8. An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.
The Wilderness of Ruin by Roseanne Montillo

9. A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read but you.

Quiet by Susan Cain. Seriously, what am I waiting for?!

10. A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.
See my answer to question number 9.

11. A book on your TBR that you’re dying to read.
Can I just say ALL of them? It’s the truth.
12. How many books are on your Goodreads TBR shelf?
The short answer is 75. The longer answer is that I stopped adding books to or paying attention to that list a long while back.

Thanks for tagging me, Lori! I won’t tag anyone in particular but I sure hope that some of you answer these questions. Let me know if you do.

What book has been on your TBR pile the longest?
