Blogging:
I was tagged to participate in a bookish questionnaire called the
To Be Read Tag. I hope you’ll check it out and answer the questions on your blog as well.
Watching:
I’m beyond thrilled that The Walking Dead is back from the mid-season hiatus. Also, Better Call Saul is here! Oh my gosh, what a fun ride that show is going to be! I expected awesomeness and haven’t been disappointed. I caught up on Parks & Recreation too. That show is ridiculously funny and puts a big stupid smile on my face.
Cooking:
I made this
Sausage, Potato, & Kale Soup which is basically a knockoff of Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana. My husband declared it to be the best soup I’ve ever made. It’s another Pioneer Woman recipe. Those rarely let me down. Mmm, soup!
We also had this incredibly easy
Chicken Alfredo Baked Ziti. Confession: It was incredibly easy because I cheated and bought the sauce. I normally stay away from pre-made sauces but I had a moment of weakness. I’ll make this recipe again, and I’ll make my own sauce. I promise!
Sniffling:
Yep. I finally came down with a version of what my hubby had last week. Then Avery woke up with a fever on Tuesday morning. We’ve used enough tissues to blanket the world. Blech.

Squeeing:
I joined Influenster and my very first #RefreshVoxBox came. Hooray! Who doesn’t love a box of goodies to explore? I’m still figuring it all out but I think I can get you a link to join (which gives us both points, whatever that means!) Contact me if you’re interested.

Free goodies, wheeee! |
Reading:
I recently finished The Thing About Great White Sharks. It was my first short story collection of 2015. I’m on a tour for that book coming up soon and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! Right now I’m in the middle of Delicious Foods by James Hannaham. It’s one of those harsh and difficult reads that I love sinking my teeth into.
I hope you’ve all had a fabulous week. I’d love to hear about what’s happening in your neck of the woods!

I'm interested in Delicious Foods – sounds a lot different than its title would indicate! I'm going to check it out.

Ugh. Had comment, then lost it. Hate when that happens. Short version: Love the soup recipe. Sharks, apropos for recent events. Left shark! In my neck of the woods, I'm staying inside, with dangerously low wind chills here, reading, natch, Sunday Salon posts and then dipping into some books, natch. 🙂

That girl can COOK. The only time a recipe of hers didn't work out was almost certainly because of user error, lol.

I finally got my first VoxBox! It's a Calvin Klein men's cologne one. Smells great, gave it to hubs, and I might steal it back. I'm not above wearing men's cologne sometimes. Is that weird? The ziti looks amazing. I get in major craving moods for alfredo. Go figure! Can't wait to read your review of Great White Sharks!

So much to comment on in this one post, I don't know where to start! I'll stick with the food. It all looks and sounds delicious! Are those Beanitos (terrible name, no?) chips gluten-free? We are crazy about Riceworks chips, but they're pricey!

Yum. I love seeing all of your cooking from the past week. I made a yummy pasta dish with sausage, spinach, and sundried tomatoes but I think I need to check out the Pioneer Woman's recipes this week. I hope you are feeling better!

I'm not sure yet about Influenster, but I'll be excited to hear how you like it! Right now, I'm worried that the requirement of advertising whatever I'm sent might be hard to balance with only sharing my honest opinion, so if you're able to share anything about how onerous you find the requirements, I'd be particularly interested 🙂

I won't allow Influenster to make me some sort of bullshit artist, I promise you that, lol! 😉 I'll see how it goes and will definitely post about it in the future!
