Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-Thon October 22, 2016

Hi! Hello! Welcome!
Gooooood morning to all of you beautiful readers out there! Here’s my opening questionnaire. I’ve filled one of these things out too many times to count (Actually, I could count them but I’m lazy. Let’s say I’ve done this around 10 times?) and the answers rarely vary. Nevertheless, here they are!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I always say I’m practically in Canada. Ha ha ha, that’s a little northern Wisconsin humor for you. You’re welcome.

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

My stack will probably change numerous times over the day but as of right now I’m very much looking forward to digging into the graphic novels I’ve been saving up for today. The newest volumes of both Saga and Ms. Marvel are calling my name!

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

I’m going to be putting this taco chicken chili in the crockpot. I’ve made it for this event before and it’s a big hit. I couldn’t make up my mind about smaller snacks so my husband said he’d run out today and shop for me if there was something I couldn’t live without.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I’m fond of tattoos and am in the middle of my first very bookish ink. I have an appointment next week to finish it up. I cannot wait to see (and share!) the finished result. Here’s a sneak peek.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I’ve learned not to take things so seriously. If I need a nap, I’ll take one. If I need a break, I’ll take one. This event is supposed to be fun! I solemnly swear to make it so.

Now, to the books!

I hope that all of you readathoners have a fantastic, book-filled day! I’ll probably be hanging out on Twitter and Instagram most of the time. Come say hello!

  1. Good luck today, and have fun! That taco chicken chili sounds delicious. I'm going to put some chicken in the crockpot soon for nachos for later today. Trying to keep it simple!
