15 books, not too shabby.
I only read 2 nonfiction books in June. That makes me a bit sad and I hope to improve that number in July.
Even though I didn’t like Crusoe I’m glad to have gotten one classic under my belt this month.
June was full of bookish events. I met an author, I guest posted, my blog was featured on Book Bloggers International, and I celebrated my 1 year blogversary!
Can you believe that 2013 is half over?!? It’s time to whip up a Hall of Fame post for the 1st half of the year. That will be coming your way shortly, stay tuned!
How was June for you?

  2. I need to get some classics in this summer too! I am always about to get one when a huge stack of held books come in for me at the library. Sigh…

  4. I can't wait to read your Hall of Fame post for the first half of the year. 🙂 I wanted to do a half a year write up but haven't gotten the chance. I may end up skipping it at this point.

  5. Seems like you had a successful month! I tried reading Robinson Crusoe a few years back and really couldn't get into it, although I enjoyed Roxana quite a bit last year. Perhaps I'll give Crusoe another try, although finding new books that I have a higher chance of enjoying sounds like a better plan currently!Good luck with July reading 🙂

  6. I actually only make it through about 4 non-fiction books a month ever so two doesn't sound too bad to me! One a week is about all I can manage on top of reading papers for work. I've been going through books a lot faster lately though, so hopefully I'll be able to pick it up 🙂

  7. I would definitely say 15 books isn't too shabby. And Robinson Crusoe. Poke my eyes out with dull objects please. I hated the book when I read it in grad school and am so grateful that the novel has evolved since Defoe's day. Yuck! 😉 Hope July is a fabulous month for you, too!

  8. June has been a pretty awesome month. 15 books is amazing! I've not read any non-fiction at all this month and I really should get on that. I keep telling myself to read more but then picking up a novel every time. I hope July is just as good for you 🙂

  9. Good going! June wasn't bad for me, not nearly as many books as you, but ok for my slow reading pace. Looking forward to your hall of fame (that sounds a daunting post to plan!)
