Weekly Wrap-Up 06/02/13

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

Holy smokes! What a week! As many of you know Armchair BEA wrapped up yesterday. It was a busy week here on the old blog. Like a dingaling I had regular reviews scheduled for the week as well, whoops. (I’ll plan that better next year!) Regular book reviews + ABEA posts = CRAZINESS.

For those of you that were able to go to New York for the BEA I hate you I want to hear all about your adventures!

Reviews:
In the Garden of Stone by Susan Tekulve

Read:
Frozen in Time by Mitchell Zuckoff
The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester
Our Love Could Light the World by Anne Leigh Parrish

Currently Reading:

Girlchild by Tupelo Hassman

I’m continuing to read Under the Dome for the Summer Readalong hosted by Natalie @ Coffee and a Book Chick
Upcoming:

The same books that I listed last time. I’m not going to post the titles again because it makes me feel PRESSURED! I’m working on it you guys, I swear. I’m trying to get through my review books. I’ve stopped requesting books from the library. I WILL catch up.

Bookish Business:

  • In my introductory post I brag about my sweet little town and complain about the animals that give me the willies.
  • The easiest giveaway you’ll ever enter can be found here.
  • Wrapping it all up here!
My May wrap-up post can be found here. It was a great month!
I want to thank Tanya from Mom’s Small Victories for this wonderful post. Please go show her some much deserved love!
Thanks for visiting, have a great week, and as always: HAPPY READING!

  4. You know I'm planning to read also THe dome this summer, we will see. I'm also pressured because I have all those wonderful books and all those horrible exams, and things don't work out 😉

  5. Try not to feel any pressure when it comes to your reading stack. Just ignore it for now. Pressure can make a person feel bad. 😦 Have a good week, Jennifer.

  6. You sure did have a busy week. I wish I could have at least done Armchair BEA, but I didn't have time. I know that feeling about pressure over reading and I'm trying to control that. It's not easy 🙂 Enjoy your week!

  7. Thanks Jennifer for the shout out, it was my pleasure and man would I love a road trip with book blogger to NYC. sadly, it would be quite a detour to come to NC from WI. I know what you mean about feeling pressure to read. I just started accepting review books and already have too many. but events like ABEA force me to write which is good. Otherwise, I am all read and no write! Hope you have a good week!

  8. Not reposting the upcoming books you have because of the pressure makes me giggle. I created a summer reading list but I don't plan to look at it again until September when I compare it to what I actually read (many of the books on the list are review books, so they will get read and as for the rest…).

  9. I've been meaning to read Under the Dome for SO LONG. I hope it's good. I didn't go to BEA this year, either, but feel a major sigh of relief. It was hot and I'm less stressed and less broke because of it.

  11. Under the Dome is interesting to say the least 😉 I'll be posting thoughts on what I think so far one of these days.I heard it was wicked hot in NYC this past weekend. NO THANKS! I do not take kindly to any sort of heat. Yuck. I'll be honest, I'd have looooved to have been there anyway, lol.

  12. I just picked up Under the Dome by Stephen King from the library tonight. I am agonizing over starting it or finishing what I'm in the middle of already.

  13. Since I really wanted to do this readalong, but also have review obligations, this is the first time I've read more than one book at a time. It's WEIRD. LOL, but I know a lot of people do it. That might be the path you're heading down ;)Thanks for visiting!

  14. There's only pressure if you feel like you have to read all of those books quickly! Good luck with your library ban – you have more will power than I do! :)Have a great week, Jennifer.
