It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

Hello my darling readers! I hope you’re all doing well.

It’s been another snowy week here in Wisconsin. Sigh. Spring will show up one of these days. Right?

The weather hasn’t been great but the reading has been! Here’s what I’ve been up to this week:

A fellow book blogger, Stephanie Elliot,  reached out to tell me about her new novel What She Left Us. I told Stephanie that I’d gladly spread the word!

Have you heard of BookBub? You can sign up for a daily email that alerts you to discounted (and free) e-books. You pick your favorite genres so the picks are pretty good. I’ve had some luck with it already.

There is no reason for this gif of Bill Cosby and his magical wiener. Enjoy.

  4. Amity & Sorrow sounds interesting, I look forward to your review. Thanks for the tip on Book Bub, it keeps showing up as a suggested post for me in Facebook and i've been curious about it. Hope the spring arrives soon. We seemed to have gone straight from winter to summer with a heavy coating of yellow dust pollen here in NC. Yesterday in the 80's and today down to 60's. Crazy weather!

  5. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on After Visiting Friends. I've had that on my TBR list since I heard about it, but I don't know anyone who has read it yet. I also think The Movement of Stars sounds excellent!

  6. Spring has finally arrived here, I think. I hope! A friend just about forced me to sign up for bookbub. Not that I'm complaining. At least I won't until my B&N gift cards run out! Enjoy your week!

  7. I hope spring comes your way soon! It was nice enough here to open the windows and play in the backyard with David and his friend today. I have The Movement of Stars on my tbr list. I hope you enjoy it!

  8. Hoping Spring finds you soon … we've had months of rain here in Australia and I'm sooo over it. I've got The Mourning Hours coming up soon, will pop back and check out your review. Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

  9. Snowy still? That's no good 😦 We still need coats here, but the sun is out. I've not heard of Bookbub but I like the idea, it's so much hassle to look through the lists of free books on sites. It must be quite scary to be an author with a book blogging background, but I love that there is another writer who has joined that rank.

  10. I've never heard of Bookbub. It sounds like something I should check out. Too bad about Yellow Birds. I've been looking at the cover and contemplating putting it on my TBR list. Was it you that read The Orphan Master's Son? I'm looking at that now since it won the Pulitzer.

  11. I've got high hopes for NEXT week. Maybe we'll get some sunshine then 😉 I'm new to the world of e-readers and bookbub has helped me find some good stuff. The list they send daily is only 4-5 books. I check out some reviews of what they offer and download them only if I'm really interested. 🙂

  12. Bookbub is handy, I like it 🙂 I was bummed out that I didn't like The Yellow Birds more than I did. I know that a lot of people have loved it though. I did read The Orphan Master's Son and I really liked it a lot!!
