Currently Reading:

I’m not sure if I’m going to end up liking this one or not. So far the story is good but the slangy language is getting on my nerves.

Upcoming:

I might give Sweet Tooth by Ian McEwan a whirl. I’m apprehensive about this one. I’ve seen a few iffy reviews from bloggers that I trust.

I received an email from my library informing me that Marbles by Ellen Forney is waiting for me. I requested this book after seeing this review on 1330v.
Of course I have stacks of other books to get to. And I will get to them. Eventually. I’ve yet to read anything from my 2013 TBR Pile Challenge in March and I really should get on that.

  1. Wasn't Long Halftime Walk one of the books from last week's Tournament of Books match-up? I'll be curious what you think of it because I don't know anyone else who has read it!

  3. I haven't read Sweet Tooth but I read McEwan's On Chesil Beach last year which received a lot of great reviews, however, I didn't really get into the story and felt the characters weren't developed enough. Perhaps I need to give another on of his books a try. I look forward to reading your thoughts on Sweet Tooth. Thanks for visiting me at The Key to the Gate. Have a great week!Happy Reading,Rebecca

  4. I think the only thing of his I've read so far was Atonement. I remember thinking that I didn't like it as much as I *should*. It's been forever and ever since I read that though and I'm thinking of giving it another try one of these days. My perspective changes after a few years 🙂

  6. I've been wondering about Sweet Tooth, thinking whether reading another of his books first might be good, because as you said it's been getting mixed reviews. Also looking forward to your review of Me Before You 🙂

  9. That's a shame. I did see one positive review for Sweet Tooth if that helps. Sadly I can't remember where. I love McEwan although only read a couple.Hope you enjoyed Me Before You. I read it this time last year and liked it. I have actually been put off reading her latest book as I worry it won't stand up to this one.Enjoy your week.
