The Literary Blog Hop!

Welcome to the best damn giveaway on the internet! Thanks to Judith, from Leeswammes’ Blog, for hosting this fabulous giveaway hop.

The point of this hop is to give away adult books with literary merit. I happen to be in love with that very type of book. I’ll be giving one away, and I’ll also be hopping around trying to win a few myself!

You know what? How about I give away 2 books?

Best news you’ve heard all day, amiright?

Here are the (hardcover, hooray!) books that are up for grabs:
The Panopticon by Jenni Fagan
Anais Hendricks, fifteen, is in the back of a police car. She is headed for the Panopticon, a home for chronic young offenders. She can’t remember what’s happened, but across town a policewoman lies in a coma and Anais’s school uniform is covered in blood.
A tantalizing reimagining of a scandalous mystery that rocked the nation in 1930-Justice Joseph Crater’s infamous disappearance-as seen through the eyes of the three women who knew him best.

Two books, one lucky winner. GOOD LUCK! (US only)

The Books (and Booze!) of Summer: Top Ten Tuesday

The gals at The Broke and The Bookish have asked us to list the books on our summer to-be-read pile for this weeks Top Ten Tuesday.

Ahhhh…

Here are a few of the books I’m hoping to read this summer:

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

The Book of Someday by Dianne Dixon

A Replacement Life by Boris Fishman

That Night by Chevy Stevens

What goes better with a book on a warm summer day than a deliciously sweet and cold creamsicle cocktail? You have to try my very favorite new drink recipe.

I use UV Whipped and a Magic Bullet blender to make an icy, frosty, stupidly good drink. (My dad, strictly a beer drinker, even declared these to be “pretty damn good!” That’s saying something.)

What books are you hoping to get to this summer? Do you have a go-to summer beverage?
