Weekly Wrap-Up 06/09/13

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

Reviews:

Our Love Could Light the World by Anne Leigh Parrish
Read:

My reading has really slowed down recently. I didn’t finish A SINGLE BOOK THIS WEEK! I can’t remember the last time that happened. Should I regret increasing my Goodreads challenge goal?

Currently Reading:

A Complicated Marriage by Janice Van Horne

Continuing to read Under the Dome by Stephen King

Upcoming:

As usual there are too many books on my plate, but here’s one that I’ll be picking up very soon:

Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger
The author is visiting my local bookstore later this month for a hometown picnic/reading and signing. Doesn’t that sound like fun? We don’t get many author visits in my little one horse town so I’m jazzed up for this event! I’ve heard wonderful things about this novel and I’m looking forward to diving in!

Bookish Business:

I reached (and babbled about) the halfway point in Under the Dome for the Summer Readalong hosted by Natalie of Coffee and a Book Chick.

I can’t help it. Stop judging me!

You can read about my sad little slump here.

I hope you’ve all had a grand week!

Slumping

Le sigh

I can’t remember the last time I felt so blah about books. I’m slumping you guys. Hard.

I’m reading two enjoyable books. In fact, I’m still enjoying them, but I just don’t care.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

Theories? I have two.

  • This is the first time that I’ve read more than one book at a time. My brain feels split in half.
  • I’ve let my review pile get ahead of me and I’m feeling the pressure.
In other words? It’s my own damn fault.
This won’t last long. Right? Tell me I’m right!
Blah

Do you have any tips? Tricks? Suggestions? How have you gotten over your own reading slumps?
