The Relentless Weekly Wrap-Up 12/06/2015

Hi! :::waves furiously:::

Remember me?

I don’t give you much of a chance to miss me since I’m all over Twitter and Instagram, but I haven’t posted here in months.

Let’s dust this place off, shall we?

The reasons for not posting are extensive and varied. There have been some family things that have kept me out of commission. While I’d love to write about them they aren’t my stories to tell. Everything is fine and we’re coming out of it all as wiser/stronger people.

The biggest reason for not posting: I’m not reading. I started a book yesterday but I’m not even going to talk about it here for fear of jinxing myself. I don’t know what is going on but I haven’t been able to get into anything since the end of summer. It’s not that the books aren’t good, it’s that I don’t have the desire right now. It’s weird and gross and I hate it.

No books…sob.

In the past these weekly updates were a great way for me to share what I was cooking/reading/watching, and I do plan to get back to that format. For now, I only want to say that I’ve missed you all and I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

I’ve missed you all!
Tell me what you’ve been up to in the comments. What are you reading/watching/cooking?

  1. You had me at \”Hi.\” 🙂 Really, you did.And I completely understand about not wanting to read books sometimes. I'm a little bit there right now as I'll probably be curled up on the couch today with booze and Netflix.Hugs right backatchya, lady.

  2. Wonderful to see you! And I hope your reading slump passes soon. I've definitely been through times like that myself, and they're no fun at all. Anyway, welcome back, and I hope everyone in your family is through the worst of the difficult times, and I hope you're being kind to yourself. HUGS.

  3. I'm so disappointed- I thought this would be a full-on Packers lovefest post! I wanted color commentary and a full recap of the play. ;)Seriously, taking a step back may be the only way to go forward. You have to take care of you. Books will always be there when you're ready.

  4. We've missed you! Big life things often suck the willingness to read right out of me. I hope as things even out, your desire comes back. All in good time. Hugs!

  5. Ha ha, I thought about it 😉 I might post some gifs of that magical play here later on this week, lol.Thanks, Catherine. That's exactly what I did and while it was a little painful to be out of the loop I think it served me well. I'll slowly be dipping my toes in…

  6. HI! You're right, I feel like you weren't so gone because of all the other lovely social media connections. But, I totally understand the not reading thing. I think that's part of what's made the second half of this year dive bomb in the book end of my life. I'd literally rather stare at a wall sometimes. I get all excited to read and then it doesn't go anywhere. Hopefully the funk is over for all of us feeling it!

  7. I've missed you, too, and have been slumping pretty badly myself! I've been reading a lot, actually, but just don't seem to be able to make time for blogging. Welcome back!
