Unfortunately I don’t have an answer. It was a very busy weekend and I haven’t chosen my next read yet. Any suggestions?
Happy Monday to everyone! What are you reading?
I'm finishing up Boo by Neil Smith (which I'm loving). I have no idea what I'll read next!

Are You There God is an excellent book, though I remember being slightly confused because girls used special garters back then. I'm reading Gag by Melissa Unger. So far, it's an interesting read!

Choosing that next read is brutal…especially after a run of great books. And I must say, CARDBOARD sounds amazing!

What a great week… no wonder you're having trouble choosing the next book! I'm enjoying Elena Ferrante's Neopolitan Novels right now, and after reading James Salter's obituary in the NYTimes am considering trying one of his novels.

I'm currently in a bit of a reading slump. Which basically means I'm doing rereads in audio–listening right now to THE STRAIN.

I read that one too! I hope you continue liking it. I finally settled in with The Seven Good Years by Etgar Keret. I ate it up in a couple of hours 😀

In the newest version of the books they changed the belt scene to use a more modern adhesive. It's weird that it's been changed but it makes a lot more sense to kids if they read it now 😀

Oh you would loooove Cardboard. It's a little younger than most of the graphic novels we read but it's got a great story and the art is amazing 😀

I don't think I've tried Salter either but he's been on my giant mental tbr pile 😦 I keep hearing more and more good things about the Ferrante books. I'm so intrigued! Even more so after hearing about what a private person the author is.

Whenever a book is set in the Midwest my hopes get high. I've been let down, more than I care to admit. But this one was so good. It was Midwestern but in a way that didn't make all of us sound like super small town nincompoops, lol. I mean, I AM a small town nincompoop but we do have all sorts of people here and this book reflected that. I'm babbling, ha ha.

Nothing wrong with a couple of comfortable re-reads. I swear those have been my best reading moments this year. Stephen King and Judy Blume, ahhhh, it's like coming home 😀

After going on a huge library bender the last couple of months, I need to focus back on books I own that I haven't read! Right now I'm reading \”Behind the Beautiful Forevers\” by Katherine Boo, and then I'm not sure what next. I'm craving non-fiction lately and I have a bunch on my shelves to pick from. Maybe \”Cooked\” (Pollan), \”Just Kids\” (Smith), or \”My Cross to Bear\” (Allman).

I miss my library so much. Sigh. Behind the Beautiful Forevers is one my all time fave nonfiction books. So good, so awful. You know what I mean.

Can't wait to hear what you thought of the Blume selection; I need to read some of those again as an adult and find out how I would react to them now.
