The Relentless Weekly Wrap-Up 04/05/15

Blogging:
20 Questions about me…I’m quite sure it’s more than you ever wanted to know!

Here’s my March Wrap-Up (7 great books, it was a wonderful month.)

Here are 10 (or 12) books I’ve recently added to by TBR List

Cooking:
We had a few decent meals this week including BLTs, and homemade macaroni & cheese. Tonight, though, I made a glorious Chicken Mozzarella Pasta from, you guessed it, Pioneer Woman! Chicken, fresh mozzarella, parsley, and basil…nom nom nom!

Reading:
I’ve been reading Kate Mulgrew’s memoir Born with Teeth for what seems like weeks. It’s a really interesting read but I’m having trouble focusing.

Watching:
The Knick! What a show. I tell you what, television sure has stepped up its game in the last few years.

Promoting:
The Socratic Salon started discussing The Girl on the Train this week. Great conversations are happening in the comment section. Some of us liked the book, some of us did not. I’m sure you have an opinion, go jump in!

Celebrating:
Thanks to the very generous folks who donated to my GoFundMe account I’ve been able to order A Little Free Library. I’ll keep you posted on its arrival, set-up, and any future shenanigans. (I cannot wait to stock it with books and let the neighborhood know I’m open for business!)

Spectacles!

Oversharing:
I got flowers from my hubby, my new glasses came in, and I’m currently in bathroom remodeling HELL.

What’s up with YOU? How has your week been?

  1. Looks like you had a productive week! Love homemade mac & cheese, as it's SO much better than the boxed kind! Just wish it wouldn't take so long, but the family says it's totally worth it. Congrats on setting up our own Little Library! I wanted to set one up, but was rejected by my HOA. Yeah, because free books would be a blight or something. *smh*Have a great week!Terri @ Alexia's Books and Such…

  2. I love the Little Free Librarys! Where are you going to put your Little Free Library? Is it in front of your house, or will you put it in a central location? Just curious. I think this would be lots of fun!!

  3. Congrats on the Little Free Library! I live at the end of a cul-de-sac, but you can bet your butt if we lived in a central location, I would be all over it.The new glasses, as I commented before, are awesome and so is the pixie. Perfect for summer.Have a great week!

  4. Trouble focusing? I wish I could say that I don't relate, but I've been a hard time of it too. Not helping is car problems that \”made\” me take my phone with me to Good Friday services…and then having it at last night's Easter Vigil…so sometimes um, yeah, I distract myself.

  5. I love your glasses, Jennifer! I'm always looking for cute ones, even though I primarily wear contact lenses; it's nice to have a decent alternate option. That Chicken Mozzarella Pasta looks ahhhmazing! Wow!
