  9. I also am going to re-read Dept of Speculation for Socratic Salon chats. I was underwhelmed the first time, so we'll see how it goes the second time around. It's so short, it's not like it's a huge commitment to give it another go. 🙂 – Katie @ Bookish Tendencies

  10. I actually really like Dept. of Speculation as soon as I got used to the writing style. Very unique storytelling. I'll have to check out Socratic Salon when they discuss (or sooner). I'm just starting Tampa and recently finished Hausfrau.So cool for your daughter. Going over to read it!

  15. I'm looking forward to re-reading Dept. I loved the heck out of that book and I wish I'd taken notes the first time. I will this time, definitely :DThanks for checking out Avery's post! I haven't read Americanah and should *really* get that on my list.
