Upcoming:

As soon as I saw Toms River on the list of Pulitzer winners for 2014 I requested it from my library. It came in super fast. Yay!

Other Business:

Happy Easter. (Peeps are gross.)

We had over 13″ of snow dumped on us overnight on Wednesday. So, you know, HAPPY SPRING! It was perfect timing as we are replacing our roof right now. Ha ha ha! It will melt soon…right?

Around the Blogosphere:

Amanda blogged about veganizing her life. She’s starting a new feature on Fig and Thistle that I’m really looking forward to reading.

Chris of Wildmoo Books was featured on Book Bloggers International this week. Her answers to the interview questions were insightful and funny.

What have you been reading? What are you looking forward to? I’d love to hear in the comments below!

  1. THIRTEEN INCHES!?! Oh my god, I'm sending you all of the warmth I can muster up from sweet old Virginia…that's insanity. Love to see the reviews at the top of your wrap-up and glad you'll be reading Tom's River, since I was peeking at that one, too!

  2. Just over seven years ago, I was in the midst of planning a wedding long-distance. The wedding was in the Chicago suburbs, but we were living in Peoria, a few hours south. As we drove up for the weekend of the wedding itself, suddenly we started seeing snow everywhere! Apparently they'd been hit with an April snow that we knew nothing about! It wasn't 13 inches, and the day itself turned out lovely… but still, not exactly what I signed up for with an April wedding!Hope you're not too buried and that it melts soon!

  3. Thanks for sharing my interview! Made my day. 🙂 So sorry to hear about the 13\”. That is just plain wrong (and I love snow, but COME ON already!). I have a friend who lives in Phillips, WI and he's posted some crazy winter pictures on FB this winter.

  4. Yikes! I have to say that it is starting to feel a bit like spring here in NJ (looks around anxiously for the blizzard…). I read A.J. Fikry this past week. I might be in love…:)
