Gorgeous, right??

I turned 40 on the 23rd. It’s official, I’m old. Really, I feel 25…on the inside. I had a FANTASTIC birthday. My family threw me a surprise party. They pulled it off too, I had zero idea! I can’t begin to tell you how much fun it was. (I’m still picking confetti out of my hair.) Family came in from hours and hours away which made me feel like a million bucks. I sat opening gifts like a 10 year old girl and I felt like a spoiled princess. I got a Keurig! I got the yellow Fiestaware butter dish! Hooray! I could go on and on but I don’t want to make you sick. Ha!

Did I mention that I fell on the ice and am now wearing a cute splint on my stupid right wrist? Sigh. I’m beginning to feel quite unfriendly towards winter.

What else is going on? School is kicking my ass and I’m going on vacation tomorrow. You’ll hear all about that soon, I promise!

Have a great week, you wonderful and beautiful readers!

  1. Oh, please go on…make me sick. 🙂 Did you get any, dare I ask it, BOOKS? 🙂 And no, I don't know if you did mention that you fell on the ice and that you're wearing a cute splint on your stupid right wrist…until now. But hope you feel better soon.

  2. My birthday was 27th & Amy Bromberg's is around then, too. I've noticed several other of my online bookish friends have birthdays around now. Hmmmm. maybe that's why we all love books and get along so well! Hope you had a great day & it looks like we have a lot of the same reads currently and coming up? Did you read Black Moon?

  3. Happy birthday! Good to know I'll still feel like I'm in my 20s ten years from now, because I definitely do not feel 30. Most of the time I still feel like I just left college (which happened almost 8 years ago). And yay for the surprise party! I'd never be able to pull one off. I actually helped with one this past weekend and even though I just showed up a little early to help (and of course had to keep my mouth shut for the past couple months… in front of someone I see maybe once a week) it was still pretty stressy.
