I compiled a fun list of bookish gifts to give to the book lovers in your life during this holiday season. I would like each and every thing on that list. Thank you in advance!
Remember Flowers in the Attic? That smutty attic goodness! That series of books partially shaped my young reading life. The peeps at Insatiable Booksluts are hosting a readalong. Is this the perfect way to wrap-up 2013? I think so!
haha I saw that Insatiable Booksluts post and I'm seriously tempted! My copy is two states away at my parents' house in Wisconsin, though.

A reading slump for you is a good month for me–Ha! I love reading your posts. You don't have to post reviews if you don't want to! Freedom for book bloggers! But, I do love those end of the year posts. BTW, I also love all the posts you make on Facebook. Great stuff.

What did you think of The Ghost of Mary Celeste? As for reviews — or posts of any kind for me — I hear you about waiting until the holidays are over to get back in the swing of things. I have a few planned for the next few weeks, but that's it.

I have to know what you thought of A Land More Kind Than Home! Half Life is one that I have coming up, too. It seems like a good little thriller, so I might save it for some car riding during the holidays.

I have been doing the same thing- lots of reading, but not so much reviewing or even blogging. Busy times!

Yay for kicking the slump!I read one book by Alison Weir and I'm really interested to check out her other historical fiction… of course, just from the titles it's hard to tell which are novels and which are non-fiction!

Yay for your slump ending! I read Flowers in the Attic one weekend at my aunt's house, while my mom was babysitting my cousin's for the weekend. It was on a back shelf in the basement, so of course I found it and read it, sitting on the nearby bean bag. And wow, it was quite the book for my young self! I will never forget that story!

Yes yes! I was young when I read it too. It has stuck with me for all of these years. I remember the first movie they made made me SO MAD because it wasn't nearly as cool as the book. That's the downfall of being a book nerd though. We all know that, lol.

Lol exactly!! When I saw the preview for this new version, I practically leaped from the couch in excitement, which my husband couldn't understand. I told him that every young girl reads that book and is shocked, like a rite of passage. The content is still really disturbing!

Thanks Sarah!I'm not great at readalongs. I read too fast, can't keep to a schedule..etc. I just have to give this one a whirl though. I haven't read this since I was a young gal and my memories of it are awesome!
