It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey.
Holy smokes! What a week! As many of you know Armchair BEA wrapped up yesterday. It was a busy week here on the old blog. Like a dingaling I had regular reviews scheduled for the week as well, whoops. (I’ll plan that better next year!) Regular book reviews + ABEA posts = CRAZINESS.
For those of you that were able to go to New York for the BEA I hate you I want to hear all about your adventures!
Reviews:
Famous Drownings in Literary History by Kevin Haworth
In the Garden of Stone by Susan Tekulve
Read:
Frozen in Time by Mitchell Zuckoff
The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester
Currently Reading:
I’m continuing to read Under the Dome for the Summer Readalong hosted by Natalie @ Coffee and a Book Chick
Upcoming:
The same books that I listed last time. I’m not going to post the titles again because it makes me feel PRESSURED! I’m working on it you guys, I swear. I’m trying to get through my review books. I’ve stopped requesting books from the library. I WILL catch up.
Bookish Business:
Armchair BEA posts:
- In my introductory post I brag about my sweet little town and complain about the animals that give me the willies.
- The easiest giveaway you’ll ever enter can be found here.
- I did some fangirling over nonfiction books.
- Wrapping it all up here!
My May wrap-up post can be found here. It was a great month!
I want to thank Tanya from Mom’s Small Victories for this wonderful post. Please go show her some much deserved love!
Thanks for visiting, have a great week, and as always: HAPPY READING!
Hi there Jennifer, I used to have a Stephen King phase back when I was in my undergraduate years – haven't picked up any of his novels much more recently though. How are you finding that book so far?

True Lindsey! Too bad I feel like I have to read them quickly, ha ha! I think I get worried that some books will be archived on Netgalley before I get a chance to get to them. I need a chill pill 😉

I haven't read anything of his in many years. (Besides a short story) I'm remembering how much I loved his style. His books feel like \”home\” if that makes sense? 🙂

You're so brave tackling King's book. 🙂 Every now and then I catch a Tweet about the read-along and think what fun everyone must be having.I haven't yet participated in Armchair BEA. Maybe someday. It always sounds like so much fun!

I would so like to join in on the Dome-along or whatever it's called, but I have too big a backlog of ARCs. I don't know how I keep burying myself in obligation or why. I've got to stop that and just enjoy reading in the old-fashioned sense — off my shelves, from the library, what I want when I want. I've been blogging for nearly 7 years and have never made it to BEA. Maybe someday. Eldest son is moving to NJ so New York City seems more possible, now, if that makes sense.

I'm working on getting through my review obligations right now. I didn't mean to let myself get over-scheduled. Whoops! I'm hoping to be back to reading whatever I want soon :)That does make sense. And holy cats, 7 years? That's awesome!
