I was so upset with the film version of My Sister's Keeper. I had to wonder if anyone in it had even READ the book! Hated it.

Ugh, isn't that the worst?! A lot of times I stay away from movie versions of books that I love. (Unless someone tells me that it was faithful to the book) I'm excited but nervous about some of the upcoming films coming out. Life of Pi, Gatsby, etc.

#17 – book turned movie (or in this case – TV series) that was completely desecrated – The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind – turned into The Legend of the Seeker – a tv series that was just BAD, while the books – all of them – were fantastic!

Went back and read my comment – I'll be sharing a lot of other types of stuff with her too, it's just that my own background growing up tended more along cliche or stereotypical lines.

Wow, I can't really answer them either, they're harder than they first looked. I think I'd have to go with The Babysitters Club for the question on shelves. They may be children's books so I wouldn't find them on friends shelves, or my own for that matter, but I don't think they're in bookshops so much either. Hope the weather gets better there!

16 books. As for ones I can't find anymore – too many to count and it sends me into panic mode. If I have a little money at the time, I will search high and low for a used copy. My bookshelves in my living room are full of books that I couldn't find any more and it has turned into a shrine more than an actively read bookshelf.

Only 13. But there is plenty on this list that doesn't interest me at all, so I figure I should spend my time reading stuff I want to read.For the 30-day book challenge, I want to do it in December and have been looking around online for other versions. I agree with you that there are a few just kind of ridiculous/too-hard questions on this one. I have read quite a few of these, patting myself on the back here. Lol. But there were still quite a few I haven't read either, I will have to get to it. 🙂 I will post mine tomorrow, I love this! Owen Meany is one of my favorite books ever. 🙂

So my husband and I split up to watch movies: he saw Tranformers, I saw My Sister's Keeper. I HATED the movie. HATED! In the theater, the minute the movie ended, I was so disappointed and called both my mom and my sister (who have read the book) to urge them to NOT see the horrific Hollywood transformation of such an amazing book.

There are some on the list that I do want to read, but there are some that I'm not interested in…like Moby Dick. I have zero interest in that. I don't know why.

I'm excited for the brain picking! (It SOUNDS painful, but my guess is, it will actually be fun!)And I've read 36 books from that list! Not bad, eh? And there's a bunch more I'd really like to read soon. It's an awesome list.
