I have a stack of library books to get through. I’m excited about all of them though so it’s certainly no hardship! I love my library, but I’m going to have to ban myself from requesting books so often. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of the books in my house at this time and I have to get a grip! Here’s what I have coming up next:

All your book choices for the week sound interesting! I know what you mean by being overwhelmed with books – sometimes it almost feels like we're racing towards a finish line, like we have to read every book in the world as soon as possible! It was annoying me that it was taking me more than three weeks to finish a book, but then I realised,in the time it was written there were probably not that many books to read – not compared to these days, anyway. So you could just sit and take time with a book, because there was no pile of books waiting for you. Realising that, I decided I am just going to enjoy this book, and take my time with it, even if it takes to the end of the year! xx

I've been hearing a lot about The Uncommon Reader and I really am intrigued. The Boy in the Suitcase also looks mighty interesting. Unusual titles you have here, would love to know what you think about them once you have your reviews up. 🙂 I know what you mean about requesting too many books from the library, I stand guilty as charged as well.

I have the same problem with my library – when I go there I always come away with a bag full of books and then get home and think 'what have i done?!'

I think I heard about The Uncommon Reader first from an article on Flavorwire, but since then I've seen it around the blogosphere quite a bit. I'm looking forward to it.There are just so many great books in the world, I can't resist! 🙂

I am finishing \”I am an Executioner: Love Stories\” and hopefully going to finish \”Ape House\” (Sara Gruen). I picked up The Forgetting Tree at the library, but I have a small stack of books I have to get to first! 🙂

LOL I hear you on the library issue. I always bring home way more books that I can get read in the 3 week check out period, but that is what renews are for! AND my request books always come in together too! The Foregetting Tree is one of those requests. ;o) Have a great week of reading.

I'm looking forward to reading The Uncommon Reader too. Isn't the library the best and worst place in the world? I stayed away for all of September, but then stocked up on a huge stack of books for the readathon. Maybe we need a library support group or something, so we are limited to just a few books at a time…

As soon as I saw Charlotte and Emily by Jude Morgan I had to order a copy! Hadn't heard of it before but I really enjoyed the other Morgan book I read, plus, BRONTE SISTERS!!! Cheers for that, Jennifer! 😉
