Library Loot! 08/23/12

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

This meme is the best! I wish more bloggers participated. (That’s a hint people!)

Let’s show our libraries some big time love! They deserve it.

I’m heading to the library in a few hours to pick up a few requests that are there waiting for me. Bless you inter-library loan, I don’t know what I’d do without you. (I’d be deeply in debt for one thing)
Here are the lovelies that I’ll be picking up:

There are a few more books in transit, I’ll be able to brag about those next week. Have a good one Relentless Readers!

As always, happy reading!

  1. In the Garden of Beasts was a fantastic read. It read really smoothly — I greatly enjoy the author's writing style — and provided a gripping narrative read. Have fun reading!

  2. You raise great point about the inter-library loan. It has so opened up ones choices. When you combine this with the ability to browse for books online, it has really changes the library experience dramatically. I do not know what I would do without such conveniences!

  4. I always knew that my library could get books for me if I couldn't find them on the shelves. But on the day that I realized that I could go online myself and browse/request items from the inter-library loan…wowza. Best. Day. Ever!

  5. I think I'd have picked out these books as well, simply based on their gorgeous covers 🙂 Especially In The Garden of Beasts, the concept of the book sounds really good. Happy reading!

  6. All three of my books from the library this week have interesting covers don't they? I know we're not supposed to judge a book on it's cover but I can't help doing that just a little 😉 Thanks so much for visiting me here!
